FundingPips became one of the fastest-growing prop firms by ruthlessly undercutting everyone on price. The question we bought a challenge to answer: is the discount funded by tighter rules that breach you faster? Partly, yes — and whether that trade is worth it depends entirely on your trading style.

What do you actually get at this price?

FundingPips offers three routes to funding: a 1-step evaluation (10% profit target), a 2-step evaluation (10%, then 5%) and instant funding (no evaluation, lower split, tightest rules). Pricing starts near $129 — for context, that’s less than a quarter of FTMO’s $619 for the popular $100K 2-Step tier when comparing similar sizes.

The catch sits in the risk parameters:

ParameterFundingPipsIndustry standard
Daily drawdown3–5%5%

Profit target (1-step)10%10%
Profit target (2-step)10% / 5%8–10% / 5%

A 3% daily limit sounds survivable until you do the math: two 1.5% losers and you’re done for the day — and one gap through a stop can end the account. If you trade news, hold overnight, or run wide stops, price the tighter drawdown into your decision. Our drawdown guide covers how to size around it.

Trading and payout experience

Our test challenge (2-step, $50K) executed cleanly on majors; spreads were a touch wider than FTMO’s during Asian session. The platform lineup is modern (no MT4 nostalgia here), and the dashboard’s daily-loss tracker resets on server time — know your reset hour, because “daily” drawdown breaches at 4:59pm server time are the most common avoidable failure.

Payout processing on our funded account took 4 business days — acceptable, not benchmark-setting.

Who is FundingPips for?

Buy it if: this is your first challenge and you want the cheapest realistic rehearsal; or you’re a disciplined intraday trader whose max daily loss is naturally under 2%. A failed $129 attempt teaches the same lesson as a failed $619 one.

Skip it if: you need room to breathe on drawdown (go FundedNext), or you want maximum payout certainty (pay the FTMO premium — see our FTMO review).

Verdict: 4.2/5

FundingPips does exactly what it advertises: minimum viable price for a credible funded-account path. The tight daily drawdown is the real cost, and it’s invisible until it breaches you. Ranked against every firm we track in best prop firms 2026 — and the value king of our cheapest prop firms list.
