FundedNext has made an unusual move for a prop firm: it’s building for AI assistants. In mid-July 2026 the firm announced the FundedNext MCP (Model Context Protocol), a connector that lets AI tools pull account data and the firm’s knowledge base directly.

What launched

Per FundedNext’s announcement, the MCP removes the need to log into the dashboard to check your account data — it gives AI assistants, starting with Claude, a direct connection to FundedNext’s platform data and knowledge base. In practice, that means asking an assistant “what’s my drawdown room?” or “what are the payout rules on my plan?” and getting an answer sourced from the firm’s own data, without opening the web dashboard.

Model Context Protocol is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to live, structured data sources, so this is a recognisable, interoperable approach rather than a one-off gimmick.

What it means for traders

Most prop firm innovation is about rules and pricing; this is about tooling. A firm exposing its data to AI assistants is a small but telling signal that prop trading workflows are moving beyond the dashboard. For traders, the near-term benefit is speed — natural-language answers about rules, status and payouts — but the bigger point is direction: expect more firms to follow.

Two caveats worth keeping in mind. First, anything that connects to your account data deserves scrutiny — authorise only official integrations and understand what they can read. Second, an AI answer is only as reliable as the data and your prompt; for anything that decides whether you breach or get paid, confirm against the source.
